Cash Gift
In short
Funds received as a gift, often from a family member, that can be used for your equity injection in an SBA loan. It must be truly a gift with no repayment expectation.
What it means in a deal
A cash gift can count towards your equity injection, but the SBA requires a gift letter from the donor confirming no repayment is expected. These funds must also be seasoned if not recently received.
