SBA guaranty repair

In short

A reduction or denial of the SBA's guaranty to a lender because the lender failed to follow SBA rules. This primarily impacts the lender, but signals potential issues in loan administration that could indirectly affect you.

What it means in a deal

While the lender is responsible for proper loan administration, a guaranty repair highlights severe missteps during origination or servicing. As a buyer, ensure your lender is an experienced PLP lender who is highly knowledgeable of SOP 50 10 to minimize any risk of issues that could indirectly impact your loan's stability or terms.
